Eleanor Payson is a licensed martial and family therapist, practicing individual, marital, and family therapy for the past twenty-four years. Graduating from the University of Michigan in 1983 with her Masters in Social Work, she has continued her education on issues ranging from; chemical dependency and codependency, adult children of alcoholics, narcissism and borderline personality disorders, relationship therapy, and attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder.
In 1993, Eleanor trained personally with Dr. Harville Hendrix to become a certified imago therapist. Harville Hendrix, Ph.D., in his book, Getting the Love You Want, develops the concepts, techniques, and skills of imago therapy. Helping couples achieve more rewarding and fulfilling relationships is one of Eleanor's greatest passions and goals. She has conducted numerous workshops teaching couples conflict resolution skills and the beginning concepts of imago therapy.
